The After's have a lot of talent and a lot of love for God. I love all their music.

Overrated...Mediocre

"I really liked the song "Beautiful Love" (as I'm sure most people on here did), and the CD was really cheap, so I bought it. After listening to all of it, I'm very glad that it was cheap. It was kinda boring and mediocre overall, but there were a couple gems. Whoever said that it didn't feel like a Christian album is wrong. I love the well done Christian CD, but this is not it.
Song-By-Song:
1. Beautiful Love (5/5) - What an opening to the album. This is the best song on the CD without a doubt. It's got good lyrics, and it sounds great.
2. Until The World (5/5) - Also a great song. I was happy that they followed up Beautiful Love with such a good one.
3. Someday (4/5) - The song that the title of the CD was birthed from. Also a good one. At this point I was getting pretty optimistic about the CD.
4. Love Lead Me On (3/5) - Mediocre. I liked the beginning through the first chorus, but the song just got boring after a little while. Plus, the musical buildup fell flat on its face at the climax.
5. All That I Am (2/5) - Not very good. Not really much redeeming about this song.
6. The Way You Are (3/5) - Maybe the only reason I gave this one a 3 star is because the one before it was not very good at all, and so this one was better than that one. Still not very good though.
7. You (3/5) - Not bad. Just kinda mediocre. Some cool parts about the song, but not enough to make it a great song.
8. Love Will Make You Beautiful (2/5) - Boring song. I thought it would be good, but it really wasn't very good at all.
9. Wait (2/5) - Worst song on the album in my opinion. Not really much to offer at all. The end is pretty good, but the rest of the song is really bad. The end was good enough to bring it up from a 1 star.
10. Thank God I'm Not The One (3/5) - Mediocre. Not a killer ending song. Just kinda boring. I mean, good message I guess, but just not done well.
Overall, the CD is just kinda boring after a great start. It's unfortunate that was the course it took. I don't really recommend the album too highly. Just get the first three songs."

"I Wish We All Could Win is one of the best debut albums to hit Christian rock in the best five years. The whole album is a solid, catchy pop/rock album. The lyrics are deep. The melodies are catchy. I've had these songs in my head since I first bought this album a year ago. I can't stop listening to it! The Afters are also a great bunch of Christian guys who care about their fans and make great role models for young people. I definitely recommend you buy this album and go see The Afters is concert someday! You will not be disappointed!!!"
Must have!

"I've been a fan of the Afters longer than they have been the Afters. Back when they were Blisse. I saw them before they made it big when they played at The Door in Dallas. I saw them in concert also a few weeks ago and got their autographs again. So cool! Anyway, I got this CD and loved it. The songs are great. I have a few faves. I really recommend this one."

"I don't get it, "Beautiful Love", "Someday" are great songs, the rest are OK. I don't know why, but they're just OK. Nothing really caught my interest except for two songs. But I might have found more if they had MORE THAN 10 TRACKS! I mean really, they cut some stuff, they had some stuff in the wings. Make me feel like I spent my money well! For ten dollars I could have gotten this on I-Tunes. Any more than that, and just forget it, it's a waste of money. But The Afters has great potential. They have what it takes to be a great band. They just didn't bring that in this album, except in small quantities. So skip the album, buy the above mentioned songs. Hopefully The Afters take advantage of their potential in the next album.
