Stupid people make me laugh

""defenselessxdependent" is obviously one of those stupid "scene kids" who hates the mere mention of Fall Out Boy or anything mainstream. What a jack-off. Not EVERYONE is a fall out boy fan, you turd, and even if ONE person compares them to fall out boy, who's to say it's not true in their minds? This band actually DOES have a slightly similar sound to FOB, as well as other chi-town acts like spitalfield and the academy is. if that bothers you, then you probably need a hobby, cuz' its not that big of a deal. I'm really getting sick of you wannabes who sit around and rip on a few people who say they like fall out boy. I'll remind everyone that YOU infact were the same people who couldn't stop talking about FOB when "take this to your grave" was hot. And now, because they have a video or two on Mtv, they're not worth listening to? How sad. Besides, I'm sure theAUDITION would LOVE to be compared to falloutboy, as it would help them sell records and become bigger. News flash: no band WANTS to be unknown just for the sake of pleasing a few "scene kids" with no friends and too much time on their hands. "defenselessxdependent", please go kill yourself, and take you're scene friends with you in the process. You completely and thoroughly suck...

As for the record itself, I thought it was pretty good, and further proof that the Chi-town music community is taking over. Having lived in chicago for many years (before moving out to cali), it's nice to see the city finally get the credit it deserves. Most chi acts owe alot to bands like Fall out boy, Lucky boys confusion and swizzle tree for paving the way, and to say they suck now because they got some fame only further proves why you should not be reviewing."
Anyone who gives this a bad rating is retarded

"First off, I NEVER EVER review anything for amazon. Even when my favorite record in the entire world (sticks and stones) blew me away in 2003, I was still too lazy to write a review. With theAUDITION though, I just couldn't hold back. "Controversy loves company" is probably the single greatest record I've heard in almost 2 years, and anyone who thinks otherwise has no taste in music. The vocals are AMAZING (think kelly clarkson's range meets patrick stump's unique pitch), and the hooks are out of this world. The production on this record is slamming too, and everything has a "punch in the face" energetic sound.

Here's what I thought of each song:

1. Dancehalls turn to ghost towns . . . (I'm gunna have to say that this song is my second least favorite. Still amazing though 9/10)

2. You've made us consious...(the hottest pop-rock song in 05'. Great guitar intro, awesome vocals a killer hook 10/10)

3. It's too late...(great song, makes you sing along 9/10)

4. Approach the bench...(the vocals really shine here. perfect 10/10)

5. Ultimate cover up...(has an amazing vocal intro and a great chours 10/10)

6. Don't be so hard...(my favorite on the record. Has the most explosive chours I've heard in awhile 10/10)

7. Lawyers...(makes you want to dance 9/10)

8. Rep your clique...(has a weak chorus, but a great instrumental sound 8.5/10)

9. La Rivalita...(great chrous, sounds like da brat' "funkdafied". Really catchy, very good 10/10)

10. Smoke and mirrors...(slowest song on the record, which isn't really that slow. Great vocals and chorus 10/10)

Like I said, I never review, but this record is just too amazing. Anyone into bands like The Starting Line, Fall out boy or Houston Calls HAS to get this. Amazing, energetic, this band has it ALL. The Next Big Thing, hands down."
Good Album, not all that original though...

"Nothing ground shattering from theAudition, but it doesn't make it worth any less than 5 stars...

I very rarely like anything that Victory records promotes out, but this is more good music from the Chicago Pop-Punk-Emo-Hardcore scene like Fall Out Boy and The Academy Is..., Victory has definetly placed their stamp on it though, and I do hear some of the TBS sound in the singer's rhythm. The singer's voice has other influences come through too though, on "La Rivalita" he reminds me of Sugarcult in a way, and on other songs he sounds like some of the talented melodic hard rock bands that came out 4/5 years ago.

To the people bitch about comparisons - Victory didn't say they sound like half Fall Out Boy and half Taking Back Sunday. I've seen the advertisements for theAudition, and it starts by saying "If you are a fan of..." which is true, if you are a fan of FOB or TBS you probably will like theAudition. I'm no Victory fan, TBS and Atreyu were the only bands I liked before I had heard of theAudition and June, but honestly the things people get pissed off over are rediculous."
