"This is not his first CD, but it may be his coming out party. Billy blows a mean harp/"Mississippi Saxophone" and sings well. The band is tight. A solid effort. Hope it brings him more recognition."
Harp maestro and all around great band.....

"O.K...I don't own this CD yet (I'm ordering it today) but I just returned from Memphis and was lucky enough to stumble into a club on Beale St. where this band was playing. As part of their set they played most of the tunes on this CD and I was blown away. I've been a fan of the blues in general and great harp playing in specific for awhile...I own several CD's featuring the likes of Sonny Boy Williamson (Rice Miller), Junior Wells, Little Walter etc. So I think I can recognize outstanding harp talent when I hear it and I definitely heard it last night. As talented as Billy is he doesn't overshadow an excellent band. All are fine musicians in their own right. Additionally, on the way out I stopped to compliment Billy on his harp playing and he was very receptive and gracious...something you don't always find in musicians with his level of talent (and I've been around a lot of big name musicians over the years). So....buy this CD as I'm doing and I"m sure you won't be disapointed and...if you ever get a chance to see this band live TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT..YOU WON'T REGRET IT."
