"The Church is the longstanding Australian band that has released paramount and peerless music for over two decades with only scant recognition. Despite being criminally overlooked they have released a brilliant new CD and this single with three bonus tracks. "Pangaea" is one of Untitled # 23's most dreamy and infectious songs that fuses Steve Kilbey's hynotic vocals amidst the Church's celestial wall of sound. " LLC" is a stellar Peter Koppes tune that reinforces the fact that the Church are such an eclectic band. Marty Wilson-Piper's "Insanity" is another example of a great guitarist also being a proficient songwriter. Kilbey's "So Love May Find Us" is the real gem as it expands and extends into a trippy, poignant and emotive epic that you wish would never end. This EP is examplary and the Untitled # 23 CD is the finest CD to be released in 2009. The Church can be haunting and psychedelic but they are invariably glorious."

"The Church have done it once again! All REALLY good music takes many many listens to seep in and that is exactly what The Church's Pangaea EP does. From the title song to the Yin and Yang of the Koppes/Wilson-Piper songs the music will find you. The last song, So love may find us, is classic Church, deep, epic in it's grandeur, and richly layered. When it comes to The Church it's all in the ebb and flow, which is why they blow away most music being made today."

"I've been following this Australian band ever since the Heyday/Starfish era. Each release seems to get better and better, and these four gentlemen are in their top songwriting form. Between their latest,"Untitled #23" and their previous disc,"Uninvited, Like The Clouds" these songwriters are clicking on all cylinders. This latest EP Pangaea, which is one of three EP's from U#23, is superb. There are only 4 tracks, but the disc clocks in at 30:15. The opener Pangaea is a wonderful track from Untitled #23, combining Steve Kilbey's super silky vocals, and ultra cool bass line. LCC is guitarist's Peter Koppes contribution, and is like a long lost George Harrison track. Next is guitarist extraordinaire Marty Willson-Piper's "Insanity", which could have been lifted from one of his glorious solo albums. Lastly is the standout track "So Love May Find Us"(which the previous US tour was named)which is a masterpiece. This song is over 17 minutes long, but doesn't feel that way. It bobs and weaves through dynamics, strings, and wonderfully tasteful drumming by Tim Powles, the Church's secret weapon. An overall fantastic disc for the dedicated fan and someone casually interested. This band should be huge, and I am no way related to any one of them. Catch them on their current US 30th Anniversary Tour which is hitting major cities at the beginning of April. The price of admission gets everyone attending the third EP from U#23. I personally am looking forward to this acoustic tour where they will play one song from everyone of their albums chronologically backwards. God Bless The Church...their records are timeless..."
