"These late 70's recording catches the sisters in their early days of just starting to record. Gospel tinged ballads and even disco highlight these recordings. "Patience" is a hand clapping uptempo church song. "I found what i'm looking for" is another good song. Most of the songs are joyous and composed my middle sister TWINKIE CLARK. The sisters jam in the name of the lord on the disco romp "Everything is gonna be alright". It may be a disco jam, but the message is clear that faith in god is the key to hold on in life. "No other name" and "Determination" are also tracks to be reconded with. The sound quality leaves something to be desired. This release is also The Clark Sisters early recordings and they had not yet found their nitch as far as harmonies or material. I would reccomend later releases but this is a must have for any Clark Sisters fan."

"The Clark Sisters always leave on looking for more- and you find a bit of it here.
Although this leaves you searching for more favorites- its satisfies your apetite for good wholesome gospel music inspired by God. Every song is understandable and legendary.
The ladies send you to new hights with favorites such as Count it all Joy. This is a treasure within itself, since the lead of this song is Denise Clark- who left the group early on to focus more on family and other branches of ministry. Included is more foot stomping hand clapping songs that render up much soul.
Everything's Gonna Be Alright - puts you right in the era in which this LP was made- and sends you rocking.
Sisters, Twinkie and Dorinda sing lead for "I found what I've benn Looking For" with such compelling feelings.
If your looking for a studio sounding crisp two in one cd- this is not it. It is very retro- making you feel as though you are in the studio- while you hear claps- ad libs and more. The Cd has a live feel to it, without a question.
Its a great buy- and worth every penny.
God Bless You-

"The Clark Sisters (and their legacy) deserve much better than what Armen Boladian and his people put together to reissue The Clarks' first recordings for the Sound Of Gospel record label.
DO NOT BUY THIS REISSUE OR ANY MP3S FROM IT. It is waste of your money - The Clarks deserve better - just say a prayer that better and higher quality reissues will be released."

"Ever since I've heard my first Clark Sisters song I was hooked. Now this mess of unsung on TV1 is bull! There isn't a church I've attended or played for that didn't have serious knowledge of the clark sisters. They may not have been on a major lable like Mr. Crouch or The Hawkins family, but they were getting serious air play on Sunday morning radio and at one church I played for, we work their song out every Sunday. I had the privilege of performing with them and their late mother in 1983 in Baton Rouge, I was in the Choir at that time, considering I am a bassplayer, but my choir diractor selected me to represent, I cherish the moment. Now to discuss this cd, well its classic Clark Sisters. With their product hard to find, any Clark Sister CD is worth adding to a collection."
