Plenty of Great Tunes for an EP!

"I've been a loyal fan of the Connells ever since I heard "Slackjawed" on the local college radio station almost 10 years ago. The title song of this EP, "New Boy," is on the same album as "Slackjawed," but this disk contains some real gems of its own. The 'live' version of the title tune is exceptional for its real life feel. The cover of the old Jethro Tull song is a surprise, since the Connells are not known for their covers, but they pull this one off nicely. The real winner, though, is "Wonder Why." It has become my favorite Connell tune, and it is available only on this EP. That one song alone is worth the price of the disk. If life were fair, the Connells would be playing in sold-out arenas on a non-stop worldwide tour."
