A great band that was wasted on the eighties

"I saw these Guy's live so many times I couldn't count. The first time was the week I broke up with a girlfriend 11/85 at the Starry Night opening for Til Tuesday to the last time they played Key Largo in Portland the day I got married 10/15/94. This is the difinitive album for fans of the 8's. A Bit of trivia about the original CD it was released on 3" and 5" disks = eight inches of music on 8/8/88
All in all these guys were great! I still play Law and Order at most parties."
The Best Ska/Punk/Jazz/Rock Band You've Never Heard!

"I rated the original 1988 Big Live Nut Pack 5 stars, and this re-release is going to be even BETTER. There are the original 18 songs included from the 1988 recording PLUS 8 more songs - 2 or 3 of which I've never heard (and I'm a HUGE fan of these guys). I've already pre-ordered the 20th anniversary CD for a mid-September delivery.
If you missed out on being a college student in Portland and/or Seattle during the fabulous 1980s, you MUST listen to this album!
If you don't know anything about the CRAZY 8's:
Simply the best punk/ska/rock/jazz band you've never heard. They were HUGE in the Pacific Northwest in the late 1980s and early 1990s. If you like bands like Oingo Boingo or The British Beat, you should give a listen to The 8's."
Really great release from a legendary band

"I was at U of O in Eugene from 84 to 88 and in Portland thereafter so the Crazy 8's were just part of the soundtrack to my life. I had lots of friends that worshiped this band and although I was not a fanatic, I always enjoyed their shows in Eugene (pretty sure I was at this Feb '88 EMU show)and Portland (Starry Night and especially the Key Largo shows in the early 90's).
The adjectives that come to mind when I think about this band are: Sweaty, Fun, Horns, Groove and Sweaty. Great guitar playing too.
Just loaded this release into ITunes and have really been enjoying it. You pretty much had to be there but this is very cool. Great latter-day liner notes from the notorious perpetrators too."
