One of the finest garage punk bands ever

"Snarling, head boppin' fist pumping and melodic garage psych punk from Pittsburgh done 10 years before the Hives picked up a guitar. This was I believe the Cynics 6th album released in 1994 and it rocks from start to finish yet shows a more psychedelic direction from their previous work in the melodism, song length and lyrics. In other words its more like the Beatles during their Revolver days than the Sonics. If you like your rock and roll simple, melodic and heartfelt a la the (very) early Who or any number of unsung groups who sprouted like weeds during the sixties to impress the girls, this is for you. Yeah they're are revivalists, but it's a music that deserves to be revived and the Cynics deliver with such intensity that it doesn't matter."
