Synopsis

Product Description
Remember The Beat Farmers? Happy Boy, Gun Sale At The Church, Baby's Liquor'd Up, Beat Generationit keeps going and so do the Farmers. The Farmers are back, with a PURE, HONEST, FULMINATING source of Rock and Roll Swashbuckle. Turn it up and shake a kidney stone loose! These guys have more lives than a cat. They sound like Bo Diddley, CCR, Joe South, and the Yardbirds shoved into a food processor, stuffed into a shotgun shell, and blasted into a beer keg at three in the morning in Faron Young's rumpus room. It all started with Jerry Raney's desperate youth as a hellion, blowin' 'round El Centro, California. Jerry started hanging out in various hobo camps, learning the guitar. He moved west in search of Rebels, Rogues, and Renegades. He found 'em. It was San Diego. and the Beat Farmers were born! The Beat Farmers turned into the Farmers, and lost a couple of fixtures along the way. Country Dick Montana in '95 and Buddy Blue in '06. With guitars in hand and ghosts ridin' with 'em, the Farmers ROCK ON and they are now allowed back in most states!

CD Reviews

Farmers rock on, with just one flaw..

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I actually PAID for this cd, Dan would be so proud of me( no matter what michelle thinks). It has some good songs, some funny-BF'er funny that is, lines too. The quality of the guys abilities shines through- this band has what is left of the elite from the early punk/new wave days in San Diego-and they play like it! My only complaint is that is is recorded TOO good, it sounds TOO slick, I need to hear the guitars more front and center. Jerry is too good not to take over on each song. Sully and Bongo are awesome as the backbeat of the band, Corbin's vocals fit in very nicely, and of course, Jerry Raney can play guitar with ANYONE! So go buy this one, grab a beer, swing your partner around, belch a few, and have a blast.

Hi all you San Diego people!"
