Originally a ska band, they have matured musically to the point where most of their music is mellow, but played so skillfully you cant believe it is not session players behind the sound. One listen will make you want to come back again and again, just like the islands themselves. Like the first album, Kenny and the boys turn in a more mainstream direction. Gone are the island rythms, replaced by what one could call more mainstream smooth jazz - intricate enough in and of itself. On this first piece in the Valentine's Day series, the band concentrates on smooth vibes, well played and suited for background music for that special someone in your life. Romance was on Kenny's mind ( as it usually is!) when he wrote some of the most romantic smooth jazz this side of Hallmark! The second in the series loses none of the passion of the first....
