Lullaby Perfection
L. R. SANDENO | Ridgway, CO USA | 02/03/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"How does one find a CD that both baby and parents can enjoy? I found most lullaby CDs to be either trying to hard to be hip or way too babyish for my taste. With it's simple arrangements, beautiful singing, and perfect lullaby selection, Dream a Little is everything I was looking for in a lullaby CD for my baby. It includes all the classic lullabies and even provides split tracks for mommy's voice or a break from the words. Dream a Little sooths my sensitive sleeper and I actually enjoy it, too.

Note: If you are a stickler for lyrics, there are a few inconsistencies in this CD (comparing the printed lyrics with the actual sung lyrics), but nothing that is a deal-breaker. In "Little Boy Blue", the singer says "shoes" rather than "sheep" for the first two rounds, then makes the correction. Similarly, in "All The Pretty Horses", it sounds like the singer says "coached" rather than "coach" and then makes the correction later in the song. In "All Through The Night", some of the lyrics didn't make it into the CD cover so it makes it tricky to sing along on the split track. The lyrics at the end that aren't printed are: "O'er thy spirit gently stealing, visions of delight revealing, breathes a pure and holy feeling, all through the night." Again, this shouldn't deter you from purchasing this excellent CD, but I thought it was worth mentioning."
