"some one once said that rock and roll never really needs saving, because there are countless bands in countless garages all over amerikkka that never lost faith. its great to know that THE MEANS were one of those bands. If any of those hipster bands with asymetrical hair and clever shirts had a little brother, THE MEANS would be that little brother's cough syrup drinking, Camel smoking, girlfriend. The kind of girl who likes to break windows because she's bored + always makes fun of the kid for trying to wear tight pants and pink converse but knocks those shoes of when it's time to get dirty."

"I had really lost interest in rock music for quite some time. I still listened to stuff that I'd just grown used to, but there was nothing really exciting that I'd heard in a while. "Community Horse" is the album that reinvigorated my love of rock, it's edgy and screamy and angry as hell, but is sexy and dirty as well.
The Means don't wear make-up or strike poses in homage to lame rockstar fantasies. No, the Means just tear it up and make both your fist and gut clench up and want to blast out.
The Means are hard to classify. The music they make doesn't have a "target market" like Slipnot or Puff Diddy or Brittany Aguilara.
Best of all, it's kida catchy."
