Good Music

"Someone ought to enter a review for this, so I suppose it's up to me. I don't know much about this band, other than that it is one of many from the Pacific Northwest that collectively comprise a baroque network of musicians who share talents and services (musical and otherwise) amongst each other. Better to simply recognize the music as good than to burden it with a vapid classification ("alt-country?"). The band sounds like they've actually practiced together and played out live, the singing and songwriting is good ("Wishing" sounds like a classic from some other time) and the covers are well-chosen (and in the case of "I Don't Let The Little Things Get Me Down" nicely updated)!"
Superb Alt-Country and Way Beyond

"If they'd been from Austin a few years later, they would've been alt-country superstars. Instead, they were from grunge-era Seattle, and a little ahead of their time.
I saw them dozens of times in small venues, never a single bad show. Superb lead guitar and vocals, great chemistry, incessantly danceable, everything you'd ever want. Unfortunately they petered out just when people in Seattle were starting to turn out for this kind of music.
Their range is way beyond any easy categorization, however. Witness the heavy guitar/countryish version of Yoko Ono's Walking on Thin Ice, and the fast, twangy instrumental version of the Japanese orchestral-pop song "Sukayaki." Last I saw this is priced at less than a buck, it's a steal, many times over."
