Best Blues CD in Past 10 Years!

"Preston Shannon, with the able backing of the legendary "Memphis Horns," delivers a scorching collection of Blues with an infusion of Soul and R&B. Preston is without a doubt, one of the top-100 guitar players of all time, as demonstrated on these tracks. His vocals are reminiscent of Otis Redding. This CD does not come close to the passion and energy Preston gives in a live performance--the man is the consumate entertainer. Ron Levy's production is tight, and sorely missed on Preston's follow-up CDs--Midnight in Memphis & All in Time--where his song selection is questionable, and obviously influenced by producer Willie Mitchell. If you are going to buy one Preston CD, this is it! Highly recommended. FYI: If you ever get a chance to see the man perform live, don't miss it!"
