Recorded in 1963, Live At The Sands features one of the great 'Summit' performances, which originated during the Rat Pack's stay in Las Vegas during their filming of Ocean's Eleven, the 1960 Las Vegas caper film starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. And as a double-dose audiovisual document of the Rat Pack, Live And Swingin' one disc a CD, one a DVD -- more than lives up to its title. Disc one is an audio-only CD culled from 1962 performances given by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis, Jr. at the Villa Venice Night Club in Chicago, while disc two captures a 1965 St. Louis performance by the same fellas on DVD, with a young Johnny Carson MC-ing.
