The Savage Juliet possess a quality rare in contemporary rock music. Their combination of strong lyrics, pop melodies both classic and unique give their songs an edge while still remaining catchy and easy to listen to. Kate Dwyer leads with a voice comparable to many of rocks leading ladies, combined with the guitar melodies they are reminiscent of early Jefferson Airplane or Nicks and Buckingham. Although there are few quiet moments on this CD those are among the most beautiful and where their talent is best heard. Womanrock has written them up as well as Time Out NY and The Deli.
