"Every time I hear a cut from this album on old time music radio, I hurry to this site about to buy this again when I remember I have owned it for months. This is one that is very hard to get off the CD player!
I generally only listen to actual traditional old time players, either old commercial records or folklorist field recordings. Much as I like some of the new bands and have friends I play with who are in them, there is something to their music that just lacks the grit and bight that the real thing has. If I listen, it is with the point of view of admiring or wanting to learn the banjo and guitar licks and admiring the fiddling.
I need this record to list to it. These folks have bite and grit and twang. Whatever the background of these musicians who I dont believe I know, these folks do not sound collegiate. They also sound like they are having fun, saying something, and they intend their listeners to have a good time. So, despite being on a budget nowadays, and despite trying to save my money for the real thing, I just had to have this record after hearing it so much on live 365's Old Time Music radio.
Thanks and keep picking keep picking
