"I have purchased one too many Three Degrees Greatest Hits albums.
Wishing and hoping to find the original hits from her two Ariola
America albums. Have any record company consider reissuing them? In addition to their hits with Philadelphia International Records
in the early seventies; their two Ariola albums marked the peak of their career during 1978-79. This where produced by Giorgio Moroder during disco music glory days. Unfortunately, the songs
contained here from those albums are not the original hits. Need-less to say that the abscence of Ms Sheila Ferguson kills the the high energy spirit of those tacks: "Givin'up, Givin in","The runner", "Set me free" and "Jump the gun". I hope that Ariola America/BMG take note of my request and reissue "New Dimensions" and "Three D" in CD format for the delight of the fans. Justice
is in bad need to be served."

"Buy this and you will be disappointed if you are looking for the original recordings of these tracks. It's not that the tracks are bad, they just ain't the originals. This is a new recording of these tracks and AMAZON should SAY that right here! BEWARE!"

"It was like The Three Degrees in Philadelphia took over from the Supremes from Detroit in about 1974. It's the same beautiful female vocals and addictive melodies, but with a distinct S.O.P. rhythm and feel. They may not ultimately have reached the status of the legendary Supremes, but the Three Degrees left us with plenty of classics to be fondly cherished: Giving Up, Giving In, Year Of Decision and especially When Will I See You again, their huge hit from 1974. Sophisticated but soulful and moving, the Three Degrees have left a small but precious legacy. Some of these tracks don't sound exactlt like the originals, but they're close enough for my comfort."

"This CD is a must for all Three Degrees lovers. This is a rerecording of all their greatest hits from the Philly International years to Ariola (Gorgio Moroder hits), and the SAW hit the Heaven I Need. This is the current line-up featuring original members Helen Scott-Leggins and Valerie Holiday along wit new member Cynthia Garrison who has been with the Helen and Valerie for 10 years now Cynthia replaced Sheila Ferguson. They still have the same tight harmonies as the original recordings but of course with new lead vocals. Valerie is now belting the hits When Will I See You Again, Woman In Love, My Simple Heart, Dirty Ol Man (in which she originally shared leads with Sheila), "Long Lost Lover" she keeps "Year of Decison" and "Jump The Gun" while Helen does the beautiful mid-tempo "Take Good Care Of Yourself", the classic "The Runner", "Together". and shares leads with Valerie on "Red Light". Cynthia puts her own style on the classic "Giving Up Giving In" and "Get Your Love Back" while Helen and Valerie recreate the patented Three Degrees harmony from the original recording. They also do a great rendition of their 1985 hit "The Heaven I Need". Also is a new recorded song by their musical team of Erwin Kieles and John Thurkull entitled "Take Me Away". Overall this is a great CD and rendition of their hits."
