Synopsis

From the small-town musical hotbed of Olympia, Washington, comes the Tight Bros from Way Back When, a band who shake the foundation of rock's altar. Conjuring memories of AC/DC and Kiss without being cliché (a remarkable feat), Runnin' Thru My Bones is a high-strung, testosterone-fueled ode to rock of days past. "Drop to My Knees" has all the elements required: A guitar solo, heavy bass lines, some harmonica, and Jared Warren's vocals, which waver between a high-pitched rock falsetto and a guttural, bluesy growl. Perhaps not the best soundtrack for a romantic dinner for two, Runnin' Thru My Bones is meant to be played loud, a cold can of Pabst in hand. In fact, the Tight Bros would probably swoon to know that this record is the perfect score for a night of cruising in the Trans Am. --Kerry Murphy

"The first Tight Bros From Way Back When CD I got was "Lend You A Hand" and it totally blew my mind. I actually didn't even know they had a CD out before that one till a few weeks ago, and I picked this up as soon as I heard. And as mentioned below, the name of the CD is not Strut, it's Runnin Through My Bones. Both of these CD's are essential Rock n' Roll listening in my opinion. If you are a fan of bands like ACDC and Rose Tattoo, and wondered what they would sound like at twice the speed and intensity, then check these guys out."

"Merge 60s/70s hard rock with punk, and you get this, lots of short blasts of fast rock and roll with lots of guitars, and a singer that will blow out your speakers. Forgot the turgid stuff they play on the radio and call rock. This is what you should be listening to."
