Atlanta's own, "UEB" has been a major driving force on the music scene for quite some time. This seven piece band features Kerwin "the Maestro" Felix on keys, North "Tunes" Woodall on guitar, Morris "Mo D" Drane on drums, Ron Dover on sax, Victor Choates on Bass, Kenneth Brown and Marsha Dupree on vocals. The dynamics of the group allows them to offer a variety of music styles that have been enjoyed by many. Some of Uptown's major highlights include their performance with Theo Peoples, the former lead singer with the Temptations. Theo is best known for his blockbuster hits, This Is My Promise and Stay. Other performances include the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Atlanta Montreaux Festival, Charlotte Jazz Festival and they were the opening act for National Recording Artist, Najee.
