Synopsis
Product Description The Viceroys were a top band on the 1960s Pacific Northwest teen dance circuit, and their recordings Granny's Pad and Goin' Back To Granny's charted high on regional radio. Granny's Pad was released nationally on Dot Records. Founding member Jim Valley went on to join Don and the Goodtimes and Paul Revere and the Raiders, and the band toured with the Raiders and The Beach Boys. This CD includes all of the band's recordings for Seafair-Bolo Records, 17 of which were released on LP or 45, and 10 of which have not previously been released. The CD is a must have for fans or collectors of 'The Northwest Sound.' Similar CDs |
CD ReviewsA Must Have For Pacific Northwest Band Fans Of The 60's Ty Rosenow | Olympia, WA USA | 05/09/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "The Viceroys at Granny's Pad This album is an essential to Pacific Northwest History of rock bands in the sixties. It is nice to have the replacement of the album that I currently have vinyl signed by Pat O'Day of KJR, who was the program director and promoter of these bands throughout the decade (and his comment on the back cover). I learned quite a bit the Viceroys such as Jim Valley who played in the band just before Paul Revere & The Raiders. This is definitely a must have."
