Stellar power pop for Posies fans

"I listened to this just-bought CD for the first time when it was added into a compilation for a road-trip. Without knowing who it was, I was happily overwhelmed with how every single track was just perfect melodic, harmonic, sunny-pop heaven. I kept turning up the volume. It's not schmaltzy candy-pop (I completely disagree with the review calling it 'bubblegum'), it's smart and mature and terrifically well-crafted music. Still not knowing who it was, all I could think was, did I accidentally put in a Posies album that doesn't actually exist? Sure sounds like the Posies, mainly, right down to the vocals, but also reminiscent of Matthew Sweet. That's what I was thinking when I suddenly remembered who it was, and that the Editorial Review mentions "13 meticulously crafted slices of pop underground nuggets that recall the Posies, Matthew Sweet, and XTC." As a huge fan of all three, that's why I bought the CD. Bottom line is, if you love the Posies, a thousand theoretical dollars says you'll love this album. Now I'm off to buy the rest of their albums..."
