"This cd is wonderful, it's great for presents too. As well as at home we listen to it on car journeys. The combination of Brian Cant's narration of the story and the music doesn't drive me to distraction the way 'The Wheels on the Bus' and other children's music does! It is a pleasure to listen to as well as a great introduction for children to classical music. Other cd's in the same vein by Naxos are Peter and the Wolf - narrated by Dame Edna Everage (inc Barbar and Young persons Guide to the Orchestra) and Carnival of the Animals - narrated by Johnny Morris (inc Mother Goose). They are such brilliant value."

"This msut be one of Naxos's best releases, since it features the extremely talented Mogrelia (who onducts the San Francisco Balet orchestra) in prime form. This is the best Cinderella suite since Stokowski, a spirited, lively, imaginative reading. The rest of the CD is good but not exceptional."
