The Scots pioneers who settled Canada's Cape Breton Island early in the last century underwent many hardships but, through all the desperate winters, they carefully preserved their precious heritage of violin music. Today modern influences are beginning to shade the island's music, but on this truly unique CD Theresa Morrison plays a wide range of Scottish music in the best traditional style of her homeland.
