2008 collection of remixes from the Dance/Remix duo Thievery Corporation (Rob Garza and Eric Hilton). The duo is based in Washington D.C. Formed in the summer of 1995 at D.C.'s Eighteenth Street Lounge - the now world-renowned venue that is still a creative incubator for DC underground music. Hilton, co-owner of the club, and Garza began working together and soon decided to see what would come of mixing all these different sounds in a recording studio, "Our deepest source of inspiration comes from our record collections", said Rob Garza in a recent interview. Over the last 10 years the duo have become one of the world's most respected remixers, as this collection superbly illustrates. 10 tracks including cuts from DJ Cam, Pizzicato Five, Ustad Sultan Khan, Luscious Jackson and others.
