"From the opening, meandering notes and the first line ("I've got eyes in the back of my head / the nails on my fingers, they glow in the dark...") this album immediately establishes the surreal buzz that will carry through its entirity. The disjointed, sometimes bizarre but entirely engrossing lyrics, distorted, unpredictable sounds, and overall ache that radiates from this music is bound to capture your interest, and, if you'll give it a chance, your heart. This Busy Monster swings from banjo-and-clarinet driven pseudo-folk to indie ballads to outright punk rock, all the while twisting the sound so that not a single track sounds like anything you've heard before. They are most definately one of the most unique bands in the indie scene today, and definately worth watching."
