Another great album from that "Blinded Me With Science" guy

"Most folks know Thomas Dolby only in the context of that one song, missing out on the richness of "Europa", "I Love You, Goodbye", and "Leipzig is Calling".

Luckily for the rest of us, "The Sole Inhabitant" contains these, and many other, excellent tracks. Different from the original versions, but just as terrific. Made me love the originals even more.

"I've been a Thomas Dolby fan since the 80's, and always wished he would tour more. Other than the "Live Wireless" laserdisc that's never been issued on DVD, there wasn't much out there. And some of the recent live CD's have been disappointing in terms of his voice or the arrangements.

But this performance is a pleasant surprise. His voice is in excellent form, and the arrangements manage to be fresh sounding while staying true to the originals. If you're a Thomas Dolby fan, this is a must-have. Great stuff from our favorite reclusive musical genuis!"
