Album Description
Here the Sultana Ensemble, a striking traditional Middle Eastern Judeo-Arabic group, joined forces with Australian composer Dr. Kim Cunio and Australian vocalist Heather Lee to create a transcendent sacred music song cycle, exploring the divine in music across cultural and religious borders. The work was commissioned for, and presented in concert as part of, the November 2006 Festival of Universal Sacred Music in New York, and was recorded live for this CD release.
