"This album is a turning point for Tiamat. Although its still very death-metaly you can hear the subtle Floyd-like ambience/atmosphere throughout the album. Starting with the slow melodic acoutical intro, the song 'In a Dream' kicks in with a heavy riff. His vocals, (with a little help from the booklet,) become clearer with each listen. Unlike other death-metal bands you can understand what is being said. Through the album getting to the middle you get the best songs 'Sleeping Beauty' and 'A Caress of Stars', which are both acoustical, distorted, and atmospheric - which in turn lead to their greatest album 'Wildhoney'. Finally at the end you are left with a heart beat, not unlike Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon. Anyone influenced by Pink Floyd are worth a look, and this is no exception. For anyone who has heard Tiamat, through albums 'A Deeper Kind Of Slumber' or 'Skeleton Skeletron' and thought they were just okay (like myself) give 'Clouds' and 'Wildhoney' a chance, unless of course you are looking for straight hard-core metal, and not thinking-mans metal."
