"Tim Finn's first solo outing is a triumph. Made 10 years after he was told to get off the stage at a music festival in New Zealand (when the acoustic Split Ends were struggling for recognition) Tim had come a long way since then. The best track on the album is the catchy "Fraction Too Much Friction", which was actually written in the late 1970s. (It didn't fit in with the Split Enz repertoire at the time.)Little did Tim realize he had written a huge hit.The irony of this great album was that Tim felt so guilty about its success. Tim felt like he had deserted Split Enz when they were on their last legs. He picked up a heap of accolades at the Australian Music Awards while Split Enz got nothing. This album epitomizes 80s music. I think this would be the best of Tim's solo ventures, although "Before and After" comes a close second."
Tim Finn is the best without a doubt !!

"The album was as clean and vibrent as all the rest of his works and I for one love it all. If I only had one artists' music on an island it would have to be Tim Finn."

"Smooth, crafty, pop music here. As half of the very talented Finn brothers, Tim has made soem memorable music. Thia first solo outing is a great, feel good pop record that is a classic."
