"Tim Grimm should be a household name. His writing, along with co-writer (and spouse) Jan Lucas, is sterling and stands above the crowded singer/songwriter field. The songs on "The Back Fields" are truly crafted, both musically and lyrically, and I am most impressed by the instrumentation on the songs. The arrangements do not bury the lyrics, which is a major criterion for me. It's difficult to pick a favorite songs, but the title tune is terrific, and, if you like watching CSI on TV, Tim has a great song for you--"Celia Rose." In fact, it's better, because you have to use your imagination rather than watching cheesy TV. His "Sometimes Trouble is a Gift" could be an anthem for most of us. This CD is not to be missed. I have been giving it to people for any occasion I can find."
