Relaxation

"It's hard to separate the music and the DVD, but I have to say that while I love the music and love the visual images on the DVD, the filmmakers suffer from an incredible attention deficit--they don't allow any of the images that we see to linger for more than four or five seconds, tops. One of the reasons I buy DVD's such as this one is to be able to relax while watching beautiful images, yet my mind just starts to appreciate one when boom--it fades out and is replaced by another, which fades out just as quickly. How is this relaxing? This isn't a rock video--the music is soft and relaxing, but whoever edited the film seems to think that you can't enjoy a mountain lake or a field of flowers or a close-up of leaves in autumn for more than four seconds without getting bored. That might be the case for the MTV crowd, but my guess is that the MTV crowd isn't buying this disc.

I do put it on when I want to hear relaxing music when I have things to do--and I can look over at the screen every once in a while to treat myself to a beautiful image to help keep things in perspective. But I can't put it on to watch and relax to; it's just far too frustrating."
