"Puente showed that no matter if a song was written with a Latin beat in mind or not he can still transform them into something special. He did so with this album without making a mockery of either the Latin sound or the original style of the songs themselves. His blend of jazz-salsa fusion was remarkable on this project with his ensemble of other gifted musicians and jazz veterans. I had to listen to his take of On Broadway from George Benson to see if it could be achieved with a different and ethnic musical style. Bravo, he did it ! Each track is about 5-6 minutes of well crafted and performed tracks (some Tito's others from other writers or artists). For anyone with no Tito experience and not wanting to spend a lot of money on an entire c.d. Puente collection this title serves as an intermediate intro. or brief flavor of a Latin jazz legend !..."
