"This is expensive. But where else can you find these albums? Toad were scandinavian, but they sound so very English that you could easily be fooled. The singer in paticular is on the excellanr slow blues 'they say i'm mad' a dead ringer for Cactus's Rusty Day. He has all the mannerisms down to a tee.The first album is THE one. It is a veritable goldmine of classic early seventies riffs, storming guitar solo's, a surprisingly good drum solo and not a track wasted. It starts off brilliantly with the lengthy 'cottonwood hill'and just gets better and better. A true classic! The second album is much more doom laden incorparating electric violin on some tracks and is fairly grungy before it even exsisted in Kurt Cobain's furtile mind! Unfortunately the singer had left and the vocals aren't as top notch as before. Still a worthy effort. As for the rest..well it's pretty standard rock. Not bad. Not good. But hell those first two albums...supreme stuff!"
