"Stars Made From Scars, "Today's My Super Spaceout Day" sophmoric album, shows a great understanding of loops, mixes, unique textures, and a great understanding of the emo-rock style. My first impressions when i saw and heard the band was that they sounded alot like the influencial band, Hum, but as i listen to more of the record, I heard their unique, dark undertones and great bass underlines the dark enriched harmonics that emerge from a wall of distortion and layer after layer of textural music. If you are looking for a great new emo-rock band, than "Today's My Super Spaceout Day" is your choice. This is one of the best emo albums I've heard. Especially tracks like the exciting track "Pro-Jehovah" and the soft emotional title track "Stars made from Scars" and the contrasting rage filled "epilogue." This album should be more than five stars."
