Album Description"Songs Carried On Angels? Wings" is a conceptual album with inspirational songs of life and spirituality, and the struggle between goodand evil. An album of hope and peace in a time of increased fear and uncertainty, this collaboration between singer/songwriter guitarist Todd Shea, lyricist Daniel Panitz, Sr. and producer Al Sirowitz was begun in August 2001 as a musical response to the to the escalation of evil, destruction and sadness in our world. Exactly half written when the terrorist attacks of 9/11 occurred, Todd, Dan and Al put their creative endeavors aside in order to be heavily involved in the relief effort at "Ground Zero" in lower Manhattan. For their contributions, all three men were officially presented with American Flags by the New York City Mayor's office, and Dan was honored as Queens? Humanitarian of the year, receiving congratulations from city leaders, Governor George Pataki and President Bush. Profoundly affected by their experiences as they returned to making music, a few of the songs on the record were directly inspired by the events and aftermath of 9/11. Sales of this album will help Todd, Dan and Al's charitable foundation brighten the lives of less fortunate human beings, including troubled youth, persons struggling with cancer, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and drug addiction, and the victims of 9/11.
