CD Reviews

At the top of their game
R. Smith | harlingen, texas | 12/11/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This live album should cause the same kind of stir as if Jackson Browne and Ry Cooder were caught on stage playing through their `hits` (if this isn't enough of an incentive to buy, read on)

As you'd expect - Phil Keaggy delivers with `Salvation Army Band`, `Let Everything Else Go` and a great acoustic cover of `Here Comes The Sun` and (to use card-playing terminology) Randy Stonehill sees Phil's three songs and raise him a `Shut De Do`, `Hand Of God` and `Old Clothes`. In between times, they make like a musical Abbott & Costello and bring the house down with `Who Will Save The Children`, `That's The Way It Goes`, `Keep Me Runnin` and `Sunday's Child`.

Even though both PK & RS have been criminally overlooked in the last few years, it's great to see that they are still doing what they love and as a duo they're still pretty much unbeatable."
That's the Way It Goes--Excellent!

"I am excited that amazon.com is finally offering a Stonehill release without having to go through a third-party vendor. This, and many other Stonehill discs, are still in print and avaliable.

The blend of Randy Stonehill and Phil Keaggy is always a winning combination (their hits--the ones they've had together--have been "Who Will Save the Children", "Sunday's Child", "Ain't Got No" and the most recent "That's the Way It Goes").

This album sounds great and so do the performers! Randy and Phil are having fun and we share that joy listening to the performances. "Hand of God", "Shut de Do", "Old Clothes", and the formerly mentioned "...Way It Goes" are the best performances.

If you're new to Randy and Phil then you want this album, to find out what the rest of us have known for years. If you're a true blue fan you won't be disappointed."
They Still Have It

"Phil Keaggy and Randy Stonehill-2 of the original 1970's era Christian singer-songwriters team up for this album-performing separately and together.Their harmony singing is inspired-and the surprise track of The Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun " is an added delight. They're both still in great form-so no retirement plans yet. We can look forward to more high class songs from these guys for quite a while yet."
