I became a jazz lover in the early '80s when I went to college and my roomate introduced me to several musicians, one of which was Tom Scott. I instantly fell in love with his brand of jazz--from cool melodies to high octane, sax-driven songs. And, he has world-class studio musicians backing him up. If you want a compilation of Scott's early great songs, this CD is it!

"It's no box set and therefore (inevitably) excludes some tunes I wouldn't have, but this is a good sampler of Tom Scott's 70s "heydays," including the crank-it-up "Gotcha" (Starsky & Hutch TV theme song) and soulful "Shadows," among others. I was disappointed more from "Blow It Out" wasn't included, but overall it's a good (not great) single album's worth of Tom Scott. If you like 70s fusion (for lack of a better term), you should like this. Certainly worth $..."
