"Noting the quantity of cheap used CD's available for this release, one could assume that this is one of Scott's weaker efforts. Not so. While not as great as "Apple Juice" (my personal Tom Scott fav), it has some memorable work. While most of the tracks are throwaway late 80's/early 90's smooth jazz fusion mess, tracks 2, 6, 7, & 8 are certainly worth a listen. This is nice background music, "musical wallpaper," if you will, but don't compare it to "Apple Juice" or "Born Again." It also amazes me that, in the 90's, labels were continuing to release CD's that clock in at 40 minutes - what a waste of disc space. However, since you can get this release on the cheap, Daddy says pick it up."

"REED MY LIPS is one great jazz CD. I use it as background music as I work all the time and cranked up, well, better. Tom Scoot is always good and the other artists he uses on the CD, including Grover Washington, are top notch You can not go wrong with this set of songs. Highly recommended."
