"This is actually a 1994 orchestral album of Tomita's own soundtrack compositions. Its has some synths but is recorded by an orchestra ans is a great glimpse of his other career as a top orchestral soundtrack composer. He supervised this album himself, so its not some quickie runthrough like some newly recorded soundtrack collections."

"This very oriental piece called "Shin Nihon Kiko" was the theme music of 15 minutes short documentary program of NHK. In 70s and early 80s, NHK used to broadcast this documentary in every early morning and evening. It's all about Japanese nature and people.I was grew up watching this TV program. I always imagine beautiful Japanese scenery and rice farms and people who work hard in farms. This piece "Shin Nihon Kiko" is known by many top japanese composers as a benchmark of best composition for films. One of reason is that his melody played by strings section. Cello and Viola sections so called "closed harmony chords progression" is the bomb. Beautiful! "Shin Nihon Kiko" is the heart of all Japanese people."
