"This one is on the Enja label and was recorded in February 1977 and November 1978 (tracks 3 and 4). As usual, this features Tommy Flanagan's impeccable and tasteful playing, augmented by the excellent bass work of George Mraz and the drum work of Elvin Jones. My personal favorite is the first track, a lovely but little known composition by Percy Faith, "Maybe September". The longest cut on the cd is the ballad "It Never Entered My Mind" which is the only version by Tommy Flanagan that I've heard, the other five tracks having been performed by him at other times on other albums. This offering also features some of the tasteful bass work of George Mraz. The only drawback is the total recording checks in at less than 36 minutes.....which kept it from being a "5". The sound, since it is studio, is excellent. You will like this if you like excellent piano, especially Tommy Flanagan, or if you dig a good jazz trio."
