"Toni Harper is a rare find. I came across her website (tonidunlap.com) and downloaded the mp3s she has there of her early work as a child (Candy Store Blues is fantastic). I was stunned by her talent and purchased the Lonely Lady cd. Recently I purchased Night Moods and was amazed at her ability to take control of these songs.

My personal favorites on this album are "'Round Midnight", "Saturday Night" and "The Meaning of the Blues". The orchestra on "Saturday Night" is particularly sharp and Toni's voice is rich and full throughout the album. For Jazz fans Toni Harper is a wonderful and necessary addition."
