Nostalgic Tony Brent

"I enjoyed listening to Tony Brent on CD and would like to see another CD with all the missing songs e.g. Why ask for the Moon, Forever my darling, Let's fall in love, Marie, Wonderba, Butterfly, In my Little Room. The message from his daughter was touching. Perhaps she has the LPs and EPs which could be reproduced with the best sound production on CD. Hope Amazon takes note of this and releases more. Thanks for the opportunity for sharing my appreciation of Tony Brent's songs."

"This selection was compiled by EMI for the UK market. They have done a great job with this album in resurrecting some of TB's music. The selection is very listenable & proves Tony's fits into the Dean Martin & Al Martino style. I am certain that baby boomers in the UK, Australia, Canada, India & Sri Lanka who are familiar with this artist's repertoire would like to see many of his more familiar songs that have been omitted from this CD, released on a follow-up album."

"While living in Sri Lanka I, like most Sri Lankans at that time, was a fan of Tony Brent. After migrating to Australia, I searched for many years to get a CD of Tony's music and was overjoyed when this was released. However, much to my disappointment my favourite song LITTLE SERENADE is not included in this collection. PLEASE release another CD with all the songs that were not included in this one. Tony's fabulous voice, clear diction and swinging singing style are still admired by those around the world who knew his music. Where is Tony Brent now? Would love to say HELLO."

"Tony Brent was born at Byculla in Bombay (now Mumbai), India, where I come from originally. In those days there was no commercial radio or TV in India (everything was Govt. controlled and western pop music was frowned upon) and so we all pubescent teens used to tune in to Radio Ceylon on shortwave frequencies (using valve sets) to listen to our favorite western pop songs. The Hit Parade sponsored by Binaca was the highlight each week and in those days Tony Brent always had a number on the top ten ladder. In the early 50s he made a big hit with "The Game of Love" (I used to own a 78 RPM record), we were always singing it at picnics and boy scout camps. Another favorite of mine was "Cindy Oh Cindy". Unfortunate my other favorites, like "Two Innocent Hearts" and "Little Serenade" are not included on this CD. I wonder why? It would not hurt to bring out a new CD with ALL his top hits on one great album. Will Amazon.com take note please?? Tony Brent's contemporary in the U.S. was Pat Boone, then Elvis hit the scene followed years later by the Beatles, the Who and The Rolling Stones all at the same time....but that is another story. I wonder if there is a Tony Brent fan club...."

"I agree with the other writer from Bombay. I didn't find "In my little room" and other hits mentioned by her/him. I'd like to buy in one CD all of Brent's hits. I'm originally from Bangalore, India and I used to listen to Radio Ceylon since there was no television."
