MUSIC FOR REAL MUSIC LOVERS
Joyce Farley | Hackensack, NJ | 10/14/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Every year there are only a handful of albums that qualify as real music and Tony Rich's project Exist is one of them. This album will leave you feeling music and not listening to repetitive and monotonous music other artists put out. I must recommend the following tracks: 1, Part The Waves; 3, Jordan; 4, According to You; 7, I Wanna Be and 8, Anymore. His voice and the production are match made in heaven. If you are a serious neo-soul listener this is a must for your music library."
Do What I Do
V. Lara | Houston, Texas | 12/20/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This collection of songs somewhat resemble his last album, "Pictures", with the exception that this album is more refined, keeping production to minimum while the maintaining the focus on the the actual music as a whole. "Exist" is a beautiful blend of jazz, r&b and other elements that are ever so scarce in today's music, originality and true, undiluted talent. If what you are looking for is the next overproduced trend that you will hear at the club, you should really look elsewhere; this entire album embodies what music now in days should be, real music, not trends and fads.

Personal favorites for me are "Part the Waves", "Jordan", "I Wanna Be", "Days", & "Do What I Do". You will easily find yourself listening to the entire album repeatedly, as I found myself doing, and you will definitely want to relish each track over and over again.

This album deeply expresses so much, exploring themes of intimacy, love, longing, and seperation; yet all these feelings are conveyed in such a beautiful way. The entire album is smooth and mellow from begining to end; even though this album is a little different those released in the past, it is definitely something anybody can enjoy, Tony Rich fan or not.

Additionally, you might want to check out the bonus tracks for Japan, "Do What I Do", and Circuit Ciy, "Days"; both songs are without a doubt reasons for buying multiple copies of this album. Just to reiterate what I stated before, this Japan import only includes "Do What I Do" as a bonus track and "Days" is only available on the Circuit City version of this album."
