"This is one of Tony's most diverse and satisfying releases. A microcosm of banjo music history well sequenced and evenly paced. Beautiful melodies and great playing abound. We also get the opportunity to hear the late great beat author William Burroughs reciting prose on one piece. Tony plays one of the funkiest versions of Reuben you'll ever hear. The title track is also a great cover of the Fleetwood Mac tune featuring Alison Krauss.
I find this cd a much more successful effort than some of Tony's half baked jam/jazz/rock recordings of late. For the later, check out the Early Years compilation on Rounder Records."
