CD ReviewsReal Texas Blues 02/08/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Every once in a while, you run across a blues band that has captured the magic that Texas blues is...like perhaps once in a lifetime. Well I'm lucky because for me it has happened twice. The first time back in the late 70's when I first saw Stevie Ray Vaughan playing in hole-in-the wall bars in Austin Texas. The second time was early in 2001 when I first heard the Tony Vega Band playing in the hole-in-the-wall bars in Houston Texas. These guys truly have a gift that words simply cannot describe. The CD does a good job of capturing their talent but it cannot compare to their live shows and if you ever get a chance to see them perform, I'm sure you will be quite pleased...." Texas Style Blues Stephen Piazza | Lancaster, MA USA | 01/27/2002 (4 out of 5 stars) "I saw these guys at a little bar and grill north of Houston. What a great show. Too bad the place wouldn't let them crank the volume. This album represents what I heard that nite. Great stuff! They play lots of original material. But, they also played a Robert Johnson tune and Stevie Wonder's Superstition. But, they did their own version of Superstition, not a rehash of SRV's version. I recommend this album. You should hear more about these guys in the future." Great guitar blues Steve Ramser | Amarillo, TX | 01/06/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Super guitar and vocals. Best in its class."
