Synopsis

Album Description
Too Slim's second release for Burnside contains ten (eight original) songs that prove why this hardrockin' blues trio is quickly becoming known as "the best Texas blues/rock band not based in Texas." From the George Thorogood approach of Mississippi Fred McDowell's Shake `Em On Down to Langford's self-penned Ventures-tinged title track, this album will make a believer of all listeners. "Enthusiasts of high energy and over the top modern blues and rock will find [this] to be state of the art".

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Too Slim is a poor man's Stevie Ray Vaughn. The same drive and energy burst forth on these cuts. Too Slim moves from one song to the next with barely a pause, just like his live performances. I often play this album on long road trips and find myself "there" before I know it. Especialy strong guitar work on "Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired" make it one of my favorites. Too Slim can be a bit country at times, but always returns to the strong Blues he is best at."
