Synopsis

Product Description
Not unlike the phoenix, Trail of Tears rises from the ashes presenting their sixth album with a newfound strength. 'Bloodstained Endurance' unites the best elements of past releases and advances them to a new level. Hard metal riffs and a pulsing rhythm section form the foundation for sweeping and emotive vocal duels between Ronny Thorsen and Cathrine Paulsen, whose unique voice, which can also be heard on the band's first album, delivers the necessary goose bump factor. The duo impressively crowns the symphonically arranged keyboard and orchestral passages. Terje Refsnes of the legendary Soundsuite Studios provides the perfect sound, as he also did on Tristania and Sirenia's most successful releases, while Finnvox gives 'Bloodstained Endurance' the final polish in the mastering department. Moving Gothic Metal that distances itself from all clichés-A very impressive renaissance indeed!

This limited edition contains a bonus track!

CD Reviews

Nothing but greatness!! What can I say, I'm speechless!!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Though I have to say that I loved Emmanuelle's vocals on Existentia, I'm glad to see Cathrine back on this album!!!! Her voice is very very very poweverful on this album and I think her vocals even overshadow Ronny's, whose voice/growls I admire equally!!! Ronny and Catherine are both amazing and powerful, I love you guys so much!!!! Please come to Los Angeles!!! Would love to see this new material being played live!! Trail of Tears, you are one of the best!!!! Love the opening song (The Feverish Alliance) with the eerie symphonic sound and closes with another of my favorites, Faith Comes Knocking, with that same twisted symhonic sound with very wicked laughs, very very amazing!! I love you Trail of Tears!!! I love every single song because they stick to their dark gothic roots. There's no really operatic sounds here, just Cathrine singing with a great strength and passion, which I love equally; don't get me wrong, I don't mind operatic style either, it all depends.

The bonus song, Onward March..., is also great, I'm glad I got the spceial edition with this extra song!!!
