Sympho-rock at its best

"The band doesn't need an introduction to the fans. For those who are not acquainted: let's say, it's not "just another" sympho-rock group from Skandinavia (from Norway, to be more precise), and they are not newcomers our of nowhere. The band somehow is underrated, although it should be placed in the same ranks as Theatre of Tragedy, Within Temptation, Nightwish... This is a mature band (started in 1997 under the name of "Natt", later signed by "Napalm") with 5 albums - this is the 6th, if I am not mistaken. It might be qualified as female-fronted group (French singer Emmanuelle Zoldan is exceptional, and Catherine Paulsen is bloody good). The sound is amazing, clear and sharp, the skills are great and - pretty rare thing - these musicians are true composers. It's a matter of taste, but the only thing I do not accept - male growling, there is no need to sacrifice good music because of the "genre". I would recommend not to neglect other albums too. I am grew up on Sabbath, Purple, Grand Funk etc, and I was very pleased with this CD."
