Play on, neo-hippie

"I guess you're supposed to listen to Tranquility Bass with your short-term memory turned off, as befits the neo-hippie esthetic. As such, this set of remixes from Let The Freak Flag Fly is pleasantly derivative. Not so cloned as to make you feel cheated, yet not so Frankensteinian as to give you doubts about the connection to the source track, which having no short-term memory you don't remember anyway. Diverting mutations pop up every once in a while, like the subtly enhanced rhythms in "La La La (Gimme Another One of Those Bong Breakin' Hippie Beats)", the gospel sashay in "We All Want An Uptempo Remix", and Ultramarine's industrialization of We All Want To Be Free - dig those robotic background singers. Then, as a final kicker, the Fatboy Slim remix of La La La really cuts loose, yanking you out of the haze with simplistic, stirring loops and big beat drums beat big."
